COMMERCIAL SERVICES / LOGOS + BRAND DESIGN

Make the shelf story and production file agree.

Packaging has to work at two scales: it must communicate quickly on a shelf and carry accurate information within a real dieline.

ENGAGEMENTProject based / scoped to your brief
01 / WHAT THE PRODUCT DELIVERS

The Packaging System

Develop packaging design for a defined product family.

  • 01

    Packaging concept and visual hierarchy

  • 02

    Approved pack and label artwork

  • 03

    Agreed variant system

  • 04

    Production-ready files and specification notes

02 / THE WORKING METHOD

Built to create
a useful change.

A variant-and-information matrix checks the artwork across the whole planned product family before files are released.

01 / ORGANIZE THE HIERARCHY

Organize the hierarchy

Clarify brand, product, variant, and required information.

02 / DESIGN THE FAMILY

Design the family

Develop the approved pack design against supplier dimensions and constraints.

03 / PREPARE FOR PRODUCTION

Prepare for production

Check artwork layers, color, and supplier handoff requirements.

03 / SCOPE BEFORE PRICE

Three levels.
One clearly defined brief.

The rate-card scope factors are shown below. Client complexity is applied separately.

Focused / ×1

Focused scope

One packaging brief for a defined product family and format.

Expanded / ×1.8

Expanded scope

An expanded family with additional variants or secondary packaging.

Complex / ×3.2

Complex scope

A complex packaging system across formats, markets, and supplier requirements.

04 / TUNE THE BRIEF

See how the scope
changes the investment.

A planning range using the same rate card as the full DOC N.I.L. calculator.

Client complexity and scope are separate factors. The written proposal confirms the level that matches your brief.

05 / THE ACCEPTANCE GATE

Know what good
looks like.

Review hierarchy, copy accuracy, variant distinction, and artwork conformance to the approved supplier specifications.

ILLUSTRATIVE APPLICATION / NOT A CLIENT RESULT

ILLUSTRATIVE APPLICATION

A beverage brand can build a coherent label family while keeping flavor, size, and required information easy to distinguish.

06 / PRICE GUARDS

Protect the scope.
Protect the result.

Outside this product unless agreed.

  • Regulatory review and legal approval of labels are separate.
  • Structural engineering, printing, prototypes, and testing are separate.
  • New dielines, extra variants, and photography require additional scope.

No hidden expansion.

The proposal confirms quantities, review rounds, locations, versions, and the service period. Additional work receives a written change scope before it starts.

8% G&A is additional. Third-party costs and applicable tax are confirmed separately. Estimates are planning ranges, not a booking or a guarantee of results.

Before we begin.

How is this engagement scoped?

The rate is per project. One packaging brief for a defined product family and format. The proposal fixes quantities, schedules, review rounds, and delivery specifications before work begins.

What is priced separately?

Regulatory review and legal approval of labels are separate. Structural engineering, printing, prototypes, and testing are separate. New dielines, extra variants, and photography require additional scope. Any change outside the approved scope is priced before it proceeds.

07 / CONNECTED PRODUCTS

Build the next part.

Separate products. Connected when the brief calls for them.
